Matt Chapman
Faculty/Director of Admissions

Matt Chapman is a performer, director, and teacher of physical theatre and clown. He is artistic director and co-founder of Brooklyn's Under the Table, now in its eleventh year of making works and touring its own brand of physical comedy and social/political satire everywhere from NYC parks to stages across the world.  Matt is a recipient of Theatre Communications Group's New Generations Future Leaders program with Dell'Arte International. He is currently living and working full time in Blue Lake, CA.   Matt has taught clown at Marymount Manhattan College and Manhattanville College in New York, and has taught workshops at such places as the Kennedy Center, NYU, Vassar, Sarah Lawrence, Towson, the University of Iowa, the University of Kansas, and the University of North Dakota. Matt works abroad regularly as well; his workshops and performances have included South Africa, Denmark, Colombia, the Netherlands, Mexico, Canada, and England. He is a graduate of Dell'Arte International and the University of Kansas.
