Kristin Shumaker
Production Stage Manager


Kristin holds an MFA in Stage Management from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.  She has worked as a freelance stage manager for the Santa Fe Opera and Littleglobe, both in New Mexico, and many companies in the Washington, DC area.  From 45-person operas to ensemble-devised works, Kristin enjoys the challenges of all types of production.  In addition to production work, Kristin incorporates her former life as a biologist and lab rat into her position as a core creative member of TWISTS: Theatre Workshop in Science, Technology and Society at Virginia Tech (www.twists.sts.vt.edu).  Kristin serves in many capacities, from acting to management to writing, during the development and staging of TWISTS shows.
